Kate Beckinsale dressed in black is one reason to watch another vampire movie. The other is that the story is quite well done. It is more than a typical vampire movie, some time is spent telling the story. The action scenes have been inspired by the Matrix. The visual effects and dark lighting also seem to be influenced by the Matrix. I did enjoy this movie, so if you like vampire movies or the Matrix I suspect that you will also enjoy this one.
There has been a war between the Vampires and Lycan (Werewolves) for centuries. Only a few vampires know the full history, the others must simply accept that it must be fought. We have Selene (Beckinsale) that is a Werewolf hunter and she is very good at her job.
The Vampires have been searching for a particular Lycan that once killed could mean the end of the war. However, as the story unfolds, she learns that not everything is as she was told. The truth is more involved, and could cause those that know to question the war. Will Selene follow her orders and kill the last of the true Lycan or will the war take on a new aspect for her.
