Well it looks like a lot has been happening. Apparently Justin Sun and his friends from various exchanges have found a way to prevent the soft fork and controlled the influence of the site... going as far as to install his own witnesses.
Well that's probably not a good thing.
It's kind of funny because I spent today and the past couple of days looking for a new laptop or a Chromebook so that I could start posting daily again. Start writing again.
It's been a long time and I've been doing therapy to try and heal up a little bit. I'll never really be healed I don't think but I might be able to get into a position where things work a little bit better. Also I'm on some pretty strong medication that seems to be working a little bit too so buying a new laptop or Chromebook or something like that for cheap would probably also help with writing. I need to get back into writing no matter what happens.
I already had my post planned out for today. It was going to be about the difficulties in buying a new computer device.
However, my post is not going to be about that now. Partly because I don't seem to be able to post from either Steempeak or Busy and that is very annoying. Therefore I have to post from the Steemit interface which means I have to post from my big behemoth computer and not from my phone.
I don't know if other people can post from those sites or if somehow Justin Sun has made it where you can only post from Steemit. I hope this is resolved eventually but I can't say for sure.
What I can say is that people like Vitalik Buterin know about this activity because I've read several articles already about it. Congratulations to Luke Stokes for being mentioned a couple of times and for having his name shown on a couple of big time sites.
What does this whole thing mean? Is Steem ruined now?
I never was a fan of Tron. I never liked the idea of gaming as being really more about betting on poker and stuff like that. I wanted it to be like Magic the Gathering. I wanted it to be like Dungeons and Dragons. There's so much potential in that kind of gaming on the blockchain and I didn't get the idea that Tron wanted to go down that road.
I would guess that the type of gaming that Steem is now going to be involved with is going to switch more in that direction.
I would also guess that our communities are going to be more constricted and positioned in such a way that they are seriously positive about Tron.
It won't prevent me from writing fiction.... If I can make it work again... If I can make it where I can write again and I can come back to the site it won't prevent me from writing fiction..
What it will do though in my opinion is drop the price of the coin significantly... at least for a little while. I really do think we may finally hit that $0.10 steem. Some of us had wondered about for a while. I had considered that my entry point forever but it never dipped down that low. Will it dip down that low now?
With all the bad press that this latest development has had I wouldn't be surprised if it does dip down temporarily. I still think we could fix things if everyone doesn't leave.
Having said that my entry point has once again become 10 cents.
I'm going to try to go ahead and get involved with my next computer system and to go ahead and start posting again.
In the meantime you should know that I'll be here somewhere and I hope you will be too.
Unless you're one of those people that I can't stand in which case good riddance.
LOL.
