In this biblical verse, the wisest King in the world, Solomon, teaches us about the importance of being prudent with words.
When we have emotions at a high level, when someone says something that seems inappropriate and uncomfortable, when we are angry or too happy, it is easy to commit ourselves to our words. This would leave us in a situation where it is really difficult to leave.
"We should not promise anything when we are happy, or reclaim anything when we are angry."
