Follow up to Bee鈥檚 Knees post

So my daughter has had a knee surgery and we had a follow up visit today.
Last night was a scary night because the wound suddenly began to gush blood... for no apparent reason.
Being trained in the paramedic field, I knew to apply pressure to get it to stop bleeding which took quite some time. This concerned me, so we went in to the surgeons office just to make sure things were jiffy.
This morning her leg was significantly swollen as you can see by the photo:
We had noticed an unattended stitch :
Apparently it was an inner stitch that had worked it鈥檚 way to the top, unintentionally.. the nurse clipped it off. He said it should recess and dissolve on its own. 馃き oops. I almost pulled it out myself the other day but decided against it until the follow up appointment. Good thing!

All in all, it鈥檚 healing well... ice and elevation were the diagnostic results of today鈥檚 visit, along with slowing Physical Therapy down to once this next week.
