These list is not intended to address who is the best or who should be on top. My intentions is only to acknowledge the world heroes who are ready to go into the field of danger. They are the bravest of souls and comparing them will be extremely difficult unless they themselves compete to be on top which would definitely leads to the most deadliest competition on Earth.

1. The United Kingdom
The British Special Air Service (SAS) is on top of the list because they are the original, the basis of all special forces around the world. The US Delta Force was founded based on them. Their insignia bears the famous phrase "Who Dares Win." They are highly trained and well equipped. They are the go to guys for deadly situations normal units would not attempt.
2. United States of America
USA have many highly trained units that should be on this list like the Navy Seals, Green Berets, Delta Force, Rangers and so forth. This is the reason why the US is second on my list because they have so many highly trained units but I will talk only about the Navy Seals.
Navy Seals are the best that the United States has to offer. They are the super soldiers trained to fear nothing, endure pain and simply never give up. They are both strong physically and emotionally resilient. Their skills have been used with great success all around the world. They are well equipped and highly funded. They have everything, from high end technology to the best in field trainers.
3. Russia
Russian Spetsnaz are among the most trained units on earth equal to the navy seals and SAS. An arm group of the most feared spetsnaz, the Alpha group, is the fiercest of them all. They are also well known as Spetsgruppa A. They are dedicated to counter-terrorism. They are heartless and known to take brutal action when taking down their opponents.
4. Israel
Shayetet 13 is the most secretive and elite unit of the Israeli military. They are trained at sea to land incursion and counter-terrorism. The would-be recruits undergo hardcore training exercises with constant monitoring by doctors and psychologists.
Israel is the best in the world when it comes to intelligence gathering and the shayetet 13 emerged as the most experienced in the world. They are always on a mission to keep there country safe. Their units motto, "As the bat emerges from the darkness, As the blade cuts through with silence, As the grenade smashs in rage."
5. Pakistan
Special Services Group (SSG) undergo a training regiment that involves marching 36 miles in just 12 hours and running 5 miles in full battle gear in just 15 minutes. Obviously, SSG emphasizes on rigorous physical conditioning as part of their training.
They are among the best in the world when it comes to counter-terrorism. They are also known as Black Storks. They are actively engaged in northern area of Pakistan fighting with Taliban terrorist.
6. Poland
Polish GROM is not as famous as their other counterparts SEALs and SAS but this elite counter-terrorist unit have worked with SEALs many times. GROM means "Thunderbolt" and it also mean that their best tactics is speed, precision, and deadly force.
Polish Grom undergo extensive training program built upon the high standards of Navy SEALs and British SAS. GROM often trains together with these elite units and GROM operatives are proficient in at least two foreign languages.
7. France
National Gendarmerie Intervention Group (GIGN) of France, is known to have the slickest training regime and are prepared to hunt down any threat with ease. Their motto "To save lives without regard for one's own."
Its missions include counter-terrorism, hostage rescue, surveillance of national threats, protection of government officials, and targeting organized crime. Its basic goal was to prepare for possible future responses to the extremely violent attacks. The group is a 200 man strong and trained specifically to respond to hostage situations.
8. India
MARCOS or Marine Commandos of India should be included in this list. They are the elite special operations unit of the Indian Navy. The MARCOS is specially organised, trained and equipped for the conduct of special operations in a maritime environment.
9. German
GSG 9 is a German counter-terrorism and special operations unit of the German Federal Police. Their specialty are cases of hostage taking, kidnapping and counter-terrorism. The unit is very active in developing and testing methods and tactics for these kinds of missions.
10. Spain
Unidad de Operaciones Especiales (UOE) of Spain is another one of the best special forces units in the world. One of Europe's most respected SF that specialized in amphibious assaults. They are the naval special warfare force elite unit of Spain. It's not uncommon for 100% of would-be new recruits to be rejected because the passing rate of candidates is around 80%.
There are many SF units that should be on this list but unfortunately I can only have 10. However, just because they are not on this list and some of you haven’t heard of them or recognize them, doesn’t mean the forces not listed are not elite and does not deserve to be placed on this list. In any event, I guarantee you wouldn’t want to be on the wrong end of any special forces groups in the world.
