What's up, walk enthusiasts! How have you been? It's already been a while since my previous blog. Now, as for this Wednesday, here I am again about to share with you the short walk I had just lately. I actually had my medical exam yesterday, all for my pre-employment requirements, and then thought at first I would get the results within the day. However, I was told to just wait for a text message if the results were ready to pick up. So, early in the morning, just when I woke up, thankfully, I already got the notice that the results were now ready for release. Thus, without further ado, I prepared and left home all the way to the clinic. It's only one ride from home, but yeah, I was stuck in traffic for a while.

After minutes of travel, I finally arrived at APM Centrale building and went straight to the second floor where the clinic is located. Honestly, I was quite worried last night thinking about what if the results would take a few days for me to receive them, since I remember when I asked, they said probably it’s three days the longest wait, and realizing Nov. 1 is All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day on Nov. 2. I already have planned that I’ll be going home on those dates, and also the deadline for submission for this one will be on Nov. 4, Monday. So I was really overthinking last night because on Nov. 1 and 2 the clinic will be closed. I had really been quite problematic last night before I went to bed and just wished that hopefully when I woke up today, I could already get my medical exam results. Well, yeah, I did.

With that, my heart was really light and happy, especially when I saw that all the medical findings were normal. I hadn't been feeling well the past weeks; that's why I had really been praying for good results. Again, thankfully everything's fine, so here I was walking to Basilica Minore del Sto. Niño de Cebu and took a shortcut at Metropolitan Cathedral. I've always been going here, so yeah, if you happened to read my past blogs, then this place might be very familiar to you already. I am always back and forth here.

I was also here just last Sunday, and two days had just passed; I'm here again. This is actually one of my favorite places. I always find comfort and peace here. Most of the time, I would just sit on the chairs or bleachers, meditating. I was also taking a break, resting since I walked a little.

During this time, I was just quietly observing and appreciating the people around me. I realized that everyone here has their own different reasons for being in this place. Some were exploring the area. Some were spending time with their children and family, cherishing the day they got to have this special quality time after being busy with work, maybe. Some were in their school and work uniforms. Some were here to celebrate important events and occasions in their lives. Some were working individuals who were about to go to work or had just gotten off work. Some were doing the best they could inside to earn and provide for their families at home. Some were just here because there was nowhere else to go. I had some quick realizations: in this sacred place where people pass by every single day, we gather here because we each have different stories that keep us coming back again and again.
After I got some time to rest, I saw I still had a lot of time, so I just waited for the next mass schedule and decided to attend. I believe this will be the best conclusion for this Wednesday walk and will make the day somehow more fulfilling. After the mass, I had nowhere else to go, so I decided to get back home.

While I walked a short distance all the way to where I would be taking a bus, I passed by the Cathedral again and saw this beautiful bride. She was all smiles, and I found it too cute; that's why I didn't hesitate to take a picture.

I need to take two rides going home. Hays, the life of a commuter indeed, but yeah, I don't complain. I'm way too happy today that I just find myself enjoying every step I take. Maybe because I'm already done with my job requirements and can go home to the province tomorrow. So, yeah, dearest Hivers, this is what happened with my Wednesday. I'm glad to be able to share it with you. Hope you have a wonderful walk for the rest of the day. See you around. Thanks for reading!
