"A couple of days after making that post, I came across a surprise one morning: four tiny plants had sprouted in just one corner of the little pot I had planted in. Seeing those little seedlings really excited me; the other plants haven't developed the way these have. They might not last very long, but I hope to keep watching them grow and sharing that with you all."

"A few days later, we saw this wild, voracious growth spurt; they’ve practically covered their entire side of the jar and are shooting upwards rapidly. They have very large leaves—there are about eight little plants in total. Six of them have well-defined leaves and stems, while a couple are still missing leaves, and the black bean seed husks—for lack of a better term—are still clinging to parts of their stems."

"Here is the last photo, which also shows the cactus; for some reason, I feel like it’s not doing so well :( It seems to be leaning to one side, as if it wasn't replanted correctly, but I’m keeping an eye on it to decide what to do next. This week, I propped it up with a pencil to keep it straight and added more soil around the base to see if that provides better support. As for the garlic plant, it’s staying more or less the same; it put out a large stalk, and I’ve been watering it every 2–3 days, but it’s just sort of stalled... I’ll keep you posted."

"Anyway, this whole adventure with my little garden has me excited. As a child, I used to hear about the ozone layer and always thought about planting things to help convert carbon dioxide into oxygen; in a way, it was a way to repay the planet for the oxygen we consume. Of course, as I grew older, I realized that such small plants wouldn't produce enough oxygen to sustain a person for a lifetime, but surely they help a little...

With nothing more to add, I wish you all an excellent two weeks—may your plants keep growing, may you enjoy your harvests, and... be happy!"
