This is a range which I have actually wanted to put together for quite a while. Simple, yes - but I really think it works and on pretty much anything too! So, I have not gotten further than one word yet in this range of "definitions", but I will and I thought I would kick it off with something fun as well as positive.
Initially, I had intended to go "black & white" with this concept, but on the day that I put it together, i had actually just finished a collection in black and white, so felt like working a bit with some colour and now that it is done, I actually think that the colour adds a new dimension to it entirely... especially these addictive candyfloss colours! Although I probably will do some of them in black and white moving forward.
The use of typography has become so popular in both decor and fashion these days and not surprisingly, because it lends itself to a very clear and unmistakable form of personal expression, which in essence is the foundation of both our home decor as well as the style of clothing we choose to wear.
Having come from the field of graphic design and working primarily with layout, brand design and no shortage of desktop publishing - I have always loved working with type creatively, and although in this particular instance the concept is very simplistic, it is not limited to such and I will definitely explore that more as I add extra "definitions" to the collection.
