You are right, blame is something I have had an internal war about for a long time but it gets you absolutely NOWHERE!!!! You simply HAVE to find a space in which you can silence it all!
Those moments of frustrations, anger - OH can I relate. I recall, my mom throwing all the pillows on her bed at me in sheer desperate anger for the pain she was in!!!! I felt like I was failing, and all I wanted was to get her into a bath, so I could make her feel better... bath her, massage her feet, her back. I never retaliated, but I did walk out and close the door. I came back a little while after, and she apologised for being difficult. She bathed, and I did all of the above.
Let's leave that behind and focus on all the wonderful memories.
