Oh I finally found my way to this story, @samsmith1971. It's so heartbreaking! You are a terrific writer. You take us into the scene, and into the heart and mind of the character, and it is so impactful! This one really tore me up. I have always been a huge believer in forgiveness and second chances... for better or worse.
