This is a very inspired story, @ubani1. It's wonderful to see your writing develop! The story's premise is really interesting - that there's a portal to go visit those who have passed on, but that in dreams they can come to us and warn us of the dangers of going through.
And I found myself in an open place. It was like a desert but without the sun. Only the moon up above, shinning light and warmth in me. I looked around and realized I was alone.

Some of your phrasing is really nice, like these excerpts. It gives your story depth and makes it very engaging to read.
The next step is to continue improving grammar. :-) I'll point you to our tips post that can help again: Help for the Grammatically Challenged. If you follow the recommendation to use Google Docs, you will see where "it's" should be "its" and "its" should be "it's" etc. You have them switched.
