It is not often that a story actually brings me to tears, but this one did! It really touched me. Kids do not want to be prevented from experiencing the world, and Fabian's story of living with an over-protective adult is not uncommon. But this story adds depth to that story by showing us the grandfather's very poignant reason for wanting to protect his grandson. You did such a nice job of bringing these two conflicts together in the story and resolving them beautifully in the end!
