I think that “that” tone creeps up on all of us as we age. We can’t help wondering where the time went, how we let things that seemed absolutely vital to us when we were younger, simply drift away on the tide of life.
So well said, @itsostylish. I think if we can gain perspective on those things, they don't have to leave such a raw wound on our hearts, and we can instead see those departures from our life plan as pieces of the fabric of our lives, and who we truly are. That is perhaps the secret to abandoning regret.
