This is a terrific story, @faithann. Tom took a very risky bet, which in most fiction stories does not pay off at all! But he won, and there he was with all that money, his life ahead of him, and some very smart ideas for how to parse out his winnings in life choices and investments. You built the tension of the story really well with what happens next - all these people descend upon him. He could easily have gone astray by hooking up with one of the party girls or choosing another risk-prone investment. But he keeps his head on straight, which is a great resolution to the story. Well done!
