You are a deep thinker, @adetorrent! I have often thought of what a miracle certain things are that we take for granted, like mobile phones. Even a wired phone is pretty miraculous. I could pick up a phone here in the U.S. and call you in the U.K. and we could talk just like we did in Poland, standing right next to one another. Can you imagine witnessing such a thing happen in the 16th century (which happens to be the timeframe of the novel I’m currently reading, and the source of some of these thoughts)?

Not to mention X-rays, MRIs and ultrasounds — to be able to detect anomalies, see broken bones inside the body, and a baby before it’s born. Miracles!
