RE: Behind a smile
I enjoyed your story, @popurri. I liked how you built up Alfredo first as someone who was very kind and well liked, and then how it shifted as people started to hate him. And then a little girl comes along

This really made me smile, @grindan. Your charming, self-deprecating view of yourself is a goldmine for creativity! I love all the stories you told, like men suddenly showing up all over the place once

RE: Sweet and special
It's so easy for parents to get so caught up in their lives that their children are an afterthought. I was so charmed by the father's transformation in this story, and how he made a new commitment to the

RE: Lottery Numbers A Derailed Man Gave ~ Creative Non-Fiction #15
This is a very clever lottery story, @mrenglish. You can see why some people get addicted to gambling. Once they have won something, they devote their lives to that exciting feeling. But it is so rare,

RE: The millionaire prize - Creative Nonfiction in The Ink Well: Prompt #15
I love this! It's so sad but so charming. Your father must have been so upset to discover that he was not the winner. I hope he found happiness in the quality of life he was used to.

Oh, such a tragic figure we find here in this lovely old angst-ridden sorceress! It seems that she made a grave error, and at some point she lost a child... or perhaps used her powers for something she

Yes, it's mentioned in the content under the prompt. Maybe we need to call it out as a rule, as every week several people miss this step.

Thanks so much, @millycf1976. I love this creative nonfiction genre. It brings out all kinds of old memories! ...but I don't always choose to make difficult things easy in such a case. Me either! 😅

RE: A Year in DC: The Ink Well Creative Nonfiction Prompt — Two Truths and a Lie
It's amazing how much would happen in any given time period back in those days! And anytime I travel, I'm amazed by how many experiences I have, especially compared with my daily "normal" life.
