Sometimes I like to take a spin around the neighborhood when night is falling and porch lights are coming on. It’s such a pleasant time of day.
It makes me think of transitions, like the old days when I was putting my kids to bed, having them brush their teeth, then reading them stories and singing them songs.
I love the porch lights, walkway lights and garden lights.
I have a circular neighborhood, and it’s a great way to get steps at the end of the day. Each loop is 1,000 steps, which means if I have the time, I can hit the 10k goal by going 10 times around.
It really helps if I’m listening to a good book on Audible!
On this particular night, I was actually listening a a very creepy psychological thriller as I walked along. And something funny happened. Some friends of mine pulled up next to me in their car and said something out the window and I jumped out of my skin! We had a good laugh.
Thank you so much for stopping by!
