Hello friends! I am making my way back to posting consistently again after several weeks of vacation and its aftermath!
This evening my husband and I took a lovely walk on a three-mile lake trail. It was the most perfect evening.
Ha ha… the first picture is just our long shadows on the trail. It’s a wonderful gauge of the angle of the sun.
Our walk took us through woods and past meadows and views of the lake — all of which were lovely in different ways.
I love the beauty of summer, with the amazing spectrum of colors, the long luxurious days, and the amount of time I can spend outside in nature.
We came upon a tiny elf village that someone had constructed along the trail. Any vestiges of grumpiness lingering from my stressful work day instantly disappeared at the sight of this charming village.
We also came across some rickety stairs and bridges with No Trespassing signs on them. Maybe someone uses them in the winter when everything is frozen and you can walk through the marsh without falling in.
We also crossed some bridges that were professionally built — just for contrast!
Okay I mentioned the lake, so I must include at least one picture of the lake view.
Here you can see it in the distance.
And finally, there were amazing meadows of wildflowers, but it was hard to capture them because the sun was setting and they were in shadow.
