Hello friends! My “walk” today consisted of cleaning up branches from a storm that blew through the Minneapolis area last night and took down a ton of branches from the large maple in my front yard. Some of the branches are twice my height! So it was quite a job.
However, it’s not very exciting material for a blog post! So I’ll write about my evening kayaking expedition instead. But first, I want to give a shout-out to @tattoodjay, host of Wednesday Walk, and
@elizacheng, host of #nakemesmile. Be sure to check out their collaboration!
Back to the expedition, I went out on one of the lakes with a friend. She’s my go-to buddy who’s always willing to head to a lake and put the kayaks in and paddle around for a while.
What we didn’t anticipate was a fierce wind and choppy water! It was like paddling in a constant boat wake! Needless to say I had my phone along, and fortunately I kept it in a plastic bag, because water was sloshing into the kayak. You can kind of tell how rough it was from these pictures.
I also took a few looking straight into the sun, which created a cool effect.
All in all it was a great evening. Thanks for visiting!
