It was a great day in San Diego. My daughter and I had a great morning stroll on the boardwalk. It is always hopping, with people on skateboards, scooters, rollerblades and bikes cruising along. This morning there were some ominous clouds that threatened rain, but it all blew over a little bit later.
We found a cute coffee shop just off the boardwalk on a side street.
After our walk and some shopping, we went on a duck boat tour! It was my first time in an amphibious vehicle. We drove through town, then down a boat ramp into the bay.
The ride around the bay was incredible. We saw tons of wildlife - cormorants, great blue herons, and California seals, primarily.
They all like to hang out on the docks that cover some live bait holding tanks. The birds actually fish through cracks in the docks.
There were some beautiful vessels on the bay, too, including a massive cruise ship.
Thank you for visiting! And thanks to @ace108 for hosting Beautiful Sunday and to
@c0ff33a for hosting Sublime Sunday!
