Tonight my husband and I met some friends at a winter carnival. There were many different events, including a beard growing contest and a puzzle contest, but we mainly just visited the ice sculptures, got beer in a big warming house and enjoyed some time by a big fire.
It’s wonderful to see what truly creative people can do. Ice sculpture is something I never think about in daily life! But look what these artisans put together. We watched as they were putting on their finishing touches.
The first one is a dragon.
Next, a balancing elephant.
A birthday sign…
And another I’m not sure I can explain!
There was also an ice bar.
And an ice sign with the names of the sponsors.
It was a beautiful night to be out!
