We took a long beautiful walk tonight out to the marina. I’m so amazed on a summer night by the different bird songs we hear around us.
The cardinals were calling in the trees. And the blackbirds were making their cries from the marshes and rushes. And when we got to the lake, we heard mourning doves and saw swallows swooping everywhere, eating mosquitos.
The boats and water were gorgeous, and it was truly a sensory feast!
The return walk was equally lovely, but with the trail beneath our feet and green trees and colorful skies overhead.
