The people at the gym think I’m weird - Actifit: November 18 2019
I’m in the habit of taking pictures, wherever I may be when I get the lion’s share of my steps for the day, so naturally I had to take a picture of the elliptical trainer!
But just as I raised my phone to take the shot, a guy tried to pass me. He definitely had that “What the hell are you doing?” look on his face. I lowered the camera so a) he could pass without bumping me and b) he wouldn’t think I had some bizarre need to take a picture of him.
“Excuse me,” he said, rather loudly.
I smiled. “No problem.” I wanted to make sure he knew I was only mildly inconvenienced in the process of taking my picture.
Well, just as I raised the phone again for another attempt at photographing the elliptical, the guy off camera just to the right of the frame turned around to look at us, no doubt sensing some kind of disturbance.
So I swung the phone away from his butt - at which it seemed weirdly aimed - and grabbed this picture. It was harrowing, I tell you!
