I actually broke away from work in the late afternoon today for a walk. I have missed the trails! I’m so busy at work that it’s pretty tough to justify a walk during work hours. But I really wanted fresh air and to see the sky and my only opportunity was during work hours.
It was quite beautiful out — cold but fresh. A lot of people were out walking, running and biking.
As you can see, there is still a vestige of snow from our dusting a few days ago.
Along the trail there is a cool tree that has a hole in it. I always wonder if any living things take shelter there.
Eventually I came to a place in the trail that gets into a residential and commercial area. There’s something you don’t see every day. See the guy on top of the building? I’m sure these construction guys aren’t thrilled that the winter weather came so soon.
I also took some pictures of leaves and snow, as we are on that precarious dividing line between autumn and winter, so for a time we have signs of both!
