Etiquette is an unwritten code of behavior, designed to ease to social interaction in both our personal and business lives.it is the customary behavior of members of a profession, business,law or sport team towards each other.

for many people, the word "ETIQUETTE" has rather unfairly acquired old fashioned connotations that hark back to a time when gentlemen wore hats and leather kept their hands covered by White gloves. Etiquette is just as relevant today as it was in victorian times. Respect, kindness and consideration sit at the very heart of modern etiquette and these principles should inform our conduct and behavior at all times.

One of the important types of etiquette is social etiquette as it inform an individual about the norms and behavior that the society consider acceptable.

BASIC RULES OF SOCIAL ETIQUETTE
Some basic rules of etiquettes that are being followed for a very long time and are considered top-notch even today are:-

  1. Say thank you

  2. Self control

  3. Offer compliments

  4. Be punctual

  5. Make eye contacts

  6. Offer your seat

  7. Active listening

  8. Stand during introduction

  9. Speak with caution e. t. c.

  10. SELF CONTROL:-It is one of the most basic etiquette when you are sitting in a company. keep a check on your behaviour, voice and manners if you are looking for basic rules of social etiquette. do not be loud, and do not boast about things you have or your accomplishments. as arrogance is considered as undesirable traits. The deeds speak for themselves and there is no need to blow your trumpet.

  11. SAY THANK YOU:-A simple thanks you goes along way in showing your appreciation for a kind deed. it is merely good manner to thank people who have come to your aid even if it is a small thing.

  12. OFFER COMPLEMENTS:-Be generous with your words of appreciation and offer compliment and praise when required. if you are sincere in your efforts and offers genuine administration, it will create a rapport that will keep you in good stead in the days to come.

  13. BE PUNCTUAL:-One of the most desired traits in a human being in his habit of being on time. arriving too late is not ideal. be punctual at all occasion at all costs. if you looking for basic rules of social etiquette.
