The young girl enjoyed watching the brothers compete to win her over, fighting incessantly.

One night, the older one decided to steal her and they fled on horseback at dawn.

When the younger brother found out, he was furious.

He rode frantically after them, until an old woman showed him where the lovers had gone.

He soon caught up with them and, blinded by anger, cut them off, shouting angrily at his brother.

But his fury dissipated when he saw the face of the woman for whom they had fought so hard: it was the old woman herself, who, with a macabre laugh, turned them into two old rocks for eternity.
