In the middle of the wedding, the altar boy approaches the bride and, without saying a word, with an axe, cuts off her head with a single chop.
Before the astonished gaze of the guests, he picks up the bloody trophy and flees the church.
The crowd chases him to the seafront, where, clutching her head, he jumps into the sea.
Despite everyone's best efforts, the bride's remains were never recovered.
Now, it is said that the spectre of her wanders along the seawall, sobbing and begging the altar boy to give her head back to her.
And some fishermen claim to have seen the man, like a zombie, sailing through the thick fog, with the macabre trophy in his hand.
