Digital Art made by me
I am exhausted after a long day's work, but something made me look back as I walk home through the dimly lit streets.
At first I dismiss the light footsteps behind me as the product of fatigue.
But they persist, steadily increasing, no matter how fast I walk.
Panic grips my throat and I break into a run, feeling invisible eyes follow my every move.
I fling open the door and turn around, drenched in sweat, expecting to find nothing, but even safely inside, the ghostly footsteps echo in my mind.
Who or what has been following him under the veil of night?
As sleep eludes me, I feel the first stirrings of despair, for in this city, it seems, no one is truly alone.
