Still on employee's satisfaction......I had an issue with my employer today.

Giving the extra in your job could be discouraging because sometimes employers take it for granted feeling it's their right or that's the actual way it is supposed to be done.

I have been working for this particular woman for 3 years but was being paid by her husband. In the course of this job , I made so much sacrifices. I always went out of my way , exceeding the agreed time frame just to ensure I achieved a good result at the end not minding the fact that I was paid X amount. The amount was way too low for my job description and what was acceptable amongst people of like jobs.

I kept on working, despite one or two hitches along the way till Today, My employer said , " we need to reschedule our time and also review the payment plan". I got confused because what I was paid was too small and then here she is thinking about reducing and still expecting the same result. I tried to find out what she was willing to pay, she said X-5 . I got angry and called her husband since he was the main person that pays me from his pocket.

The husband was surprised and said asked me what I wanted. I told him I did not know what to say, I did not want to cause problems because it was obvious the wife felt what I was paid was too high.

He could attest to the extent i had gone with th job so we planned to agree to what the wife says while he continued to pay what he has been paying......He then told me to ensure I do my job well.....I became happy....

Employers should seek to satisfy employees, even if it is not with money but a show of appreciation per time for any job well done will go a long way.....
