It's 1:05 am at Carbon market, and although we had a long day, the energy was high around me. People pushing carts, vendors emptying their sacks, people counting their change...

In the Philippines, the 12-fruit bowl is a tradition. 12 kinds of round fruits to bring good luck for each month of the year. I'm not here to write on whether it's true or not, but I write these words to express how this energy drives the spirit of Carbon Public Market in the wee hours approaching the New Year.

To all those who worked so hard to bring us the food we have on our table for New Year's Eve, this is for you. Thank you and may you have an even more prosperous New Year!
