I prefer to keep my posts short and snappy these days, but I like this article by Paul Tustain: Is Bitcoin the Answer?. He is the founder of bullionvault.com. By being both an entrepreneur and precious metal investor, he has a more nuanced view of Bitcoin than other experts out there.
I believe he is correct: Bitcoin is not money, but property. Or perhaps more correct, property rights to digital scarcity. However, I disagree with his conclusion. Bitcoin and other cryptos can still succeed while not being money.
I just bought 2 more Steem rounds to my growing stack:
I have Steem in abundance these days, and I just completed the transaction to Phelimint by paying with Steem. I do not view Steem as money, but as property rights to the digital scarcity that is the Steem blockchain.
Thanks @phelimint!
I believe we do not need money anymore: Going back to barter is real freedom!
We get rid of the leeches (the Banks) that take our money and make us indebted. By bartering, we create stronger social bonds, by transacting valuable goods/ property between us. We create win-win situations. Also, with barter trades, you do not need all the secrecy involved with transferring shady fiat. Ladies and gentlemen, this is real human progress.
I expect the ultra-rich to chase cryptos en masse when they realise that their fiat is next to worthless.
Money is so 2016: Fuck you money!
Thank you for your time and attention. Steem on!
