Hiking in High Tatras in Slovakia - from Tatranska Javorina through Sedielko and Priecne sedlo to Stary Smokovec
Tatra mountains is the smallest high mountains in the World. This mountains is situated on the polish - slovak borderlands and consist from Western Tatras, High Tatras and Belianske Tatry. I love this small, but amazing mountains and one of my most loved part of this mountains in Javorova dolina valley and hiking through this valley to Sedielko mountain pass.
On the late summer morning I started my hike in small Tatranska Javorina village. Weather was ok, but temperature was not so high, as usual in mountain valley during late summer morning. Thirst part of my hike leads on asphalt road in lowest part of Javorova dolina valley, but this part is about 20 minutes long and ginisher on Horarna pod Muranom trailpost - from this trailpost you can go to shorter hike through beautiful Zadne Medodoly valley to Kopske sedlo mountain pass on borders between High Tatras and Belianske Tatry mountains or continues on longer way throug Javorova dolina valley in High Tatras - this second option is my today journey..
On Horarna pod Muranom trailpost finished an asphalt road and hiking trail continues as wider and later nearer hiking trail, not so hard, with beautiful views to Belianske Tatry and High Tatras mountains. This easier part of my today trail finished on Javorova zahradka - for me the most beautiful place of Javorova dolina valley - small mountain river, meadow with flowering plants and mountain peaks above.
Drom this place hiking trail starts to be more difficult and steaper and goes to Zadna Javorova dolina valley with smaller mountain lake near hiking trail and later climbs to Sedielko mountain pass between Maly Ladovy stit and Siroka veza mountains peaks - it is "only" mountain pass, but offers an amazing views to many peaks of Tatra mountains. On this mountain pass I had a longer lunch break.
After this longer break I was continuing to Modre pleso lake in highest part of Mala Studena dolina valley - highest pernament lake in Tatra mountains. This part is quite tricky, on highest part with unstable debris and secured by chain.
Than i goeing a few minutes down, but later I start to climb to my second mountain pass - Priecne sedlo. To this mountain pass is possible to go by normal hiking trail (bit challenging, secured by chain) or through newer via ferrata - today I go on via ferrata - it is not bit difficult, for me was finally easier than classical hiking trail - finally it finished few meters above highest point of normal hiking trail and offer better views.
On Priecne sedlo I had a smaller break and later continues in my today trek. Fisr part leads on via ferrata, but after few minutes via ferrata finished and I go on normal hiking trail - steeply down to highest part of Velka Studena dolina valley called Strelecke pole bellow Strelecka veza mountain peak. Later I continues not marked, but very good visible trail around small mountain river, which after about a hour connect with normal marked hiking trail on Velka Studena dolina valley - in this part finished more beautiful part of my today walk - more people, mountain pins shrubs, later forest and finally I went to trailpost near Hrebienok and from them went down to Stary Smokovec valley, where I finished my today, amazing, but a little challenging trek
