RULESET: Armored Up
Description: All monsters get a +2 armor buff at the beginning of the game.
I am excited to share with you this battle with the Armored Up ruleset mostly because it features one of my most liked Soulbound cards, Noa the Just. Its speed and ability to take down armors at level 1 is just impressive.
Noa the Just is a non-attacking Epic Water Unit who's packed with wonderful abilities just as you level him up. 6 speed at level 1 is just awesome in battles; the reason I place it behind the entire team. It has a high chance of dodging the sneak attacks.
You're probably wondering why this looks like a card feature rather than a ruleset feature by now. The reason is that the Rust ability that this card has was the very key to victory in this battle.
Remember it's armored up? How about we take 'em down?
Ruleset:
• 39 Mana Cap
• Super Sneak
• Armored Up
• Silenced Summoners
• Available Splinters: Water, Earth, Life, Death & Dragon
There are few things I considered in picking my team for this particular battle.
Other things that would have also worked out in this ruleset would be the following:
I went with rust due to the fact that it not just removes the armor but also rejects the probability of facing ultra thick armor. And since all summoners are silenced, I do not have to worry about Grandmaster Rathe.
I also went with the speediest monster I can get with most damage. In addition, our friend Supply Runner gives +1 speed to everyone with its swiftness ability.
I figured monsters will be squishy without any armor and it would be best if I could be the first to attack, hence the speed selection.
The Battle
Watch it Here!
With all the buffs and debuffs, this is how the battlefield looked like before the first monster attacks.
I couldn't believe the amount of misses aimed at Noa. This is Super Sneak and we see 3 different melee attack monsters in the opponent's side. However, Noa only took -4 armor and was still protected at the end of Round 5. Had it been a different monster in that position, this would have turned out differently.
The battle ended with Chaos Agent as the only casualty in my team. Awesome victory!
That would be it for our Battle Mage Secrets this week! Hope you learned a thing or two! I try to share my strategies as much as I can so as to help and guide newbies in understanding the game and increase their win rate.
Thank you for dropping by and giving time to read this blog!
By the way, I'm using the divider from @splinterlands post. I think it's awesome and I hope I don't get in trouble.
