Hello Splinterfam!
There has been a change in the Weekly Challenge and this time, it features different battles using rulesets instead of monsters.
For starters, we have the Aim True ruleset.
Description: Melee and ranged attacks will always hit their target.
Note: This applies to magic attacks as well even if there is a phase monster.
You can take advantage of your slower monsters with a good amount of damage in this ruleset as they would not miss an attack. Though you need to take note that speed is always king. There's a high chance that your monster is already down before it attacks so you have to be careful when picking slower monsters.
Ruleset:
• Scattershot
• Heavy Hitters
• Aim True
• Available Splinters: Fire & Earth
Since there are only 2 splinters available, there will be 2 summoners I'll be dealing with. Sloan with +1 range attack and Thaddius Brood with -1 HP and -1 magic damage.
Magic is more painful than range damage for me so I picked Thaddius Brood for -1 magic damage and Bone Golem as the Tank here not only because of the void ability but because of 3 damage and its thick armor.
Due to scattershot, I did not think I can take advantage of the heavy hitters ruleset but I picked The Revealer nonetheless. Just in case.
And since I was also considering going up against General Sloan, I made sure to add the secret recipe to this... The Ravenhood Warden! +2 armor was what made me win in this battle. Without it, my monsters would only have lasted 1 round as we see monsters with opportunity and sneak ability plus the scattered magic and range attacks.
My Corpse Fiend is down while the other team lost their healer.
Weirding warrior traded for Time Mage and Celestial Harpy
Pelacor Conjurer is the last man standing. Thanks to the Aim True ruleset, every blow from my relatively slow monsters landed on the targets. 3 Melee damage and 3 range damage is real painful especially that this is a mini low mana battle
