I was trying to think back on how I became interested in Seabiscuit - an improbable racehorse winner, who lifted people's spirits and gave them hope, during The Great Depression. My guess is I saw that old movie "The Story of Seabiscuit" (1949) - based on a true story.
Then around that time someone wrote a book: "Seabiscuit An American Legend" by Laura Hillenbrand (2001). I read the book. Then a movie was made based on the book "Seabiscuit" (2003). I saw the movie.
Now it is a memory that I am pulling out. The newsreel is a little long, so might need popcorn or a snack.
