Today, according to figures announced by the UN, they claim that more than 2.2 billion people do not have access to water, this being an unwavering human right, but the reality is that many countries cannot guarantee their citizens access to it, a reality that was evident in the wake of the pandemic by the Covid-19.
In the case of Latin America, the irrational and carefree use of water is very concerned, as well as a derecognize of the current situation at the global level.
This can be evident when we encounter: broken pipes in the streets or sidewalks where a lot of white water is wasted for whole days, in charge of buildings washing sidewalks and streets in front of them, open water keys while washing vehicles, etc.
In this scenario, we are faced with projections by the United Nations (UN) where they say that by 2040 water demand will increase by 50%, and by 2050 more than 5.7 billion people will have problems accessing water.
In this scenario, I call for reflection through this path to all those users who can read this publication and send it to more people, as well as contribute each of us with actions such as: closing the water key while brushing our teeth, closing the water from the shower while we lather up, repairing the water keys that leak, etc.
To conclude as a reflection:
Taking care of the water is everyone's responsibility, let us not wait not to have it to value it; but we take care of her, she may be the cause of the greatest war among men in the not too distant future.
