Today marks my second year celebrating Valentine's Day on this platform. I wasn't that active yet last Valentine's Day 2022 though, so this year marks the official one. Did you miss sending love to your favorite authors? If yes, then you can hover to @hivebuzz post about it so you won't miss it next time.
Are you one of those who are alone this Valentine's? Then count me in! Oops. It's like a follow-to-follow scheme on FB. I think others can relate to this line, lol. At the age of 34, I am still curious about why there is Valentine's Day. I guess I learned about this before when I was young but was forgotten. I came across this video on YouTube and it answered my curiosity.
Those photos above, by the way, weren't taken today but last December at Hearty Christmas Festival Walk. I opted to share them here since they symbolize Valentine's Day too. There were heart-shaped photo booths around the giant Christmas tree and my young buddy (albeit taller than me) was my photographer that day. It was before we headed to the glacier that I experienced my first ice skating.
The Chinese family all went out, probably to celebrate this special day, and I was left alone. I may be alone today but I am not lonely. But I even preferred to be alone at home as I can do anything I want to. Because of that, I had a chance to watch movies, and one of those was Teen Wolf recommended by @dennnmarc. The movie was a little bit disappointing and far from my expectations but it wasn't bad either. After that, I search for more movies that suit this special day. Then I found Shotgun Wedding, a romance-comedy movie by Jennifer Lopez and Josh Dumahel in 2022. If you want to watch it, it's for free here.
Remembering this special day, a lot of memories flashed back in my mind. Those sweet days in college with my first love: watching movies on weekends as our bonding after school, holding hands while walking on the street, and receiving some sweets on Valentine's Day. We may have not lasted forever but he taught me how to love and learned to be loved. When we broke up, I learned another lesson, and that's to love myself again after giving all my love to him, lol. It's like give and take 😂.
At least, once in my life, I experienced that wonderful feeling and I can proudly say that I am not an NBSB, lol. Am not a noob anymore in this aspect either as I learned a lot of things that I needed to learn about love and life during all those years. And those were the reasons why I prefer to be single forever 😂.
Anyway, just a while ago, I opted to have a walk outside to buy myself some sweets. And I bought this strawberry cake with a pretzel and blueberry at a reasonable price from Cherry Bakeshop.
Tonight, I will spend my Valentine's Day in front of my screen watching more movies and probably, drafting more articles, lol.
Enjoy your day out there and once again, Happy Valentine's Day!
