Hello Stemians! I just upvoted someone's post and it took the money amount down instead of up. WTF?!
It's actually been happening quite a bit lately and I wondered why this is accidentally happening or whatever> Does anyone know what is happening? Has this strange thing happened to anyone else on steemit? I'm confused..
My hypothesis is that the ever changing current value of steem/steem power is changing every second almost that it actually changes when I'm upvoting someone's post. So it's like the upvote button actually is working as a refresher button while at the same time upvoting the post, which in some cases still ends up being less money overall for the whole post as it was just a second or two ago. Furthermore, sometimes when I upvoted teh person's post it actually goes a lot higher than what I thought the upvote would bring it up. It usually upvotes by a penny or two or three, five cents at the most. But sometimes my upvote brings them up by more than a dollar at a time. Like I said, my hypothesis is that the upvote button is upvoting while at the same time working as a refresher button to the current value of steem/steem power (which changes sometimes every second).
I thought I would make a post about this strange coincidence that has happened to me on steemit lately. if anyone else has been getting this sort of thing happening to them lately, please feel free to give me your hypothesis on why this seems to be happening as I am kind of new to steemit and I am unsure and frankly a little bit worried about this strange episode.
