William Lumpkin wrote most of this interesting book about, well, baptist history in the south of America.

It started in the western part of the south, moved around in circles and went up and down from New York to Florida. It takes place during 1754-1787. People being born again and baptized everywhere in the name of Jesus Christ.

With all the separate influences coming from Europe, people living in America believed in life after death, and they wanted Jesus to come into their hearts and save them, and be a part of their everyday lives.

People talk about how Christianity was part of the "bible belt" in southern states like Texas, for example. The truth is that baptist history took place long before the years of the bible belt even came into existence. After reading this book and thinking about all the things it taught me about my religion in American history, the more I thought that I should tell you all about it.
