If HIVE depends on (small) users NOT to use it in every day life because it is not attractive enough for people to invest voluntarily, if these few withdrawn dollars of users like @anggreklestari are already threatening, then there is no more hope anymore anyway.

I am so fed up of these HIVE watchdogs (often circlejerking themselves ad nauseam while ignoring newbies) blaming normal users for spending their HIVE, while the real inflation is created by the DHF. Users like @anggreklestari bring value to the platform by their content, by seeking & supporting good content of other users and by engaging in the comment section.
They create what potential new users see when looking at HIVE from outside.

HIVE tries to force people to invest (for example by the 13 week power down timescale or by punishing its users for unappreciated behavior) ... Really attractive investments don't need that: I can for example unstake my 200 TAO immediately if I want, but I don't do it since months because I expect the value to increase longterm.

You can downvote my next post, too, as I have decided to power down until only a few HIVE are left. I plan still to write posts from time to time, keeping the quality high, but I don't need HP to do that. My content will be the value in inself, HIVE might still have its purpose as a censorship free platform to save own ideas, thoughts and memories, but since a long time I don't consider it as investment anymore.

I think the real problems of HIVE are that the same old figures control the chain since 2016, the same witnesses, the same users giving each other a pat on the back (every single new user I brought here - apart from my wife - gave up after a while!). Already the start with early miners and later bidbot owners created an environment discouraging potential investors because investing here means just making these old whales even richer (market cap is so low that price reacts fast). That there is no max supply doesn't make it better. A huge amount of votes is completely automated, people here don't read, don't make the effort to engage with small new users, they just don't care!

If HIVE ever goes to 1 cent, @anggreklestari is NOT the reason. And maybe exactly that would be the chance for a new beginning because it finally would make it possible for new users, new faces with new ideas to gain some influence.
