Fynbos is a distinct type of plant growth found in the western cape on the Helderberg mountains and surrounding western cape wine lands. The Protea is South-Africa's national flower and is named after proteus the Greek god who could change his form at will. It is protected by laws and conservation efforts. And in local traditions it represents change and hope. Something we desperately need in South-Africa.
