Processed my meat chickens yesterday, and now I'm dreaming of hunting season. This year I'm looking the most forward to chasing pheasant and ruffed grouse with my GSP.

Man does my dog LOVE the water! Once he's in it it's a chore to get him out. Another humid day here though so I don't blame him!

Just some quick snapshots i took last night while watering the garden. Zucchini plants are getting huge, and the pears are getting bigger as well.

Merle is my very first hunting dog. He's also the first dog I'm living with one on one with, and it can definitely be a struggle. His high energy is often hard to deal with when I want some down time.

Former owner of this property planted a lot of flowers that pop up all over the land. They also let their chives spread crazy. Fine with me!!!! Flower and chive patches add beauty......and food!!!!

Bought my first chickens!! They're 12 cornish crosses, and I'm brooding them in my garage. Decided to go with meat birds, so I can have a break to go camping this summer. Hopefully if this run goes well
