I know it might feel like you are lessening your chances by spreading the word, but by sharing with your following you will be increasing the prize pool!
That statement displays so much class and inner wisdom.
It's a concise and delightfully elegant way to nudge people out of the "scarcity mentality" and reveal the true nature of the universe - "Abundance".

If Not Steemit, Where?!
I need to make it clear from the Get-Go that I will not discuss why the majority of people initially arrive on Steemit; that is, the lure of "making millions online through blogging".
We've all been there and done that. 'Nuff said.
Suffice it to say that if you focus on your craft and the Steemit community, the money naturally follows.
Instead, I will focus on the non-monetary benefits of Steemit; the reason why I am here - and also the reason that posting on Steemit has become as natural as brushing my teeth.
To me, reading comments on my Steemit posts is like my morning coffee. It quickly tells me when I'm full of shit!

Banning from Facebook is commonplace.
And content producers routinely get censored on YouTube.
Where else - but on Steemit - can you express yourself so freely; without the constraints of draconian rules and biased, authoritarian censorship?
My father once told me that to truly listen, then respond to another human being is like giving them "psychological air".
Steemit, with its open platform and friendly environment, serves up fresh, free psychological air 24/7!
Where else - but on Steemit - can you meet so many intriguing individuals from every corner of the globe and every culture you can think of THAT GENUINELY WANT TO HELP?
Where else - but on Steemit - can you learn new things and interact for free with subject matter experts (anytime and any place where internet access is available)?
There is a saying in the Marine Corps:
"See One, Do One, Teach One; then and only then do you really "own it".
Where else - but on Steemit - can you solidify your newfound knowledge by immediately sharing what you've learned with a positive audience of like-minded Steemians?
Where else - but on Steemit - do you learn the fundamentals of cryptocurrency simply by learning how to handle your own tokens (Steem, SBD, and SP)?
Where else - but on Steemit - do you learn about advanced crypto assets through the hundreds of daily blockchain and cryptocurrency posts?
And lets not forget the "knowledge osmosis" that occurs when you interact with your tech savvy Steemian friends.
Where else - but on Steemit - can you learn about (and easily support) worthy causes?
Where else - but on Steemit - can you have fun entering contests?
Where else - but on Steemit - can you quickly and painlessly make solid online friendships?

I am amazed on a daily basis on just how many like-minded, fascinating and honorable people I meet on Steemit.

About the Author
Believing that school was too boring, he dropped out of High School early; only to earn an AA, BS and MBA in less than 4 years much later in life – while working full-time as a Navy/Marine Corps Medic.
In spite of a fear of heights and deep water, he performed high altitude, free-fall parachute jumps and hazardous diving ops in deep, open ocean water.
After 24 years of active duty, he retired in Asia.
Since then, he's been a full-time, single papa and actively pursuing his varied passions (Writing, Disruptive Technology, Computer Science and Cryptocurrency - plus more hobbies too boring or bizarre for most folk).
