Holiday Preparation Ahead
I must admit, with the changing of the seasons and the holidays right around the corner, I just couldn't resist putting together a new doodle. seeing the shift in the air always gets me inspired, so I opened up PENUP and started building this festive scene from scratch.
I wanted to capture that familiar feeling of putting up decorations, hanging up the wreaths, and getting everything ready for the celebrations ahead. This drawing is inspired by a window display I saw online. I got inspired by the beautiful design and color of what looks like drums of white and red. Layering form by form, from the festive red garlands and ornaments to the big drum set and the figure reaching up to trim the window frame with a contrasting color, the whole piece just grew one detail at a time.
Festive decors and online content I see around make me feel inspired to make art like this doodle. It is comforting to capture these seasonal moments on a blank screen when the holidays start rolling in.
The background is red in flat st first a bit hesitant but red helped in determining what this drawing could be
I could have stopped there but part of me wants to add subdued colors glad to have pushed it a bit and was happy with it
