This is my entry for the #monomad challenge : "Forgotten Ships "
You could find the challenge right : > > HERE < < .
The other day I went for a bike ride with a friend, along the rivers edge in Danang Vietnam there submerged were the broken hulls, the exposed spines of forgotten ships that one sailed the sea, that once harvested the fish, now broken, battered, slowly sinking into the brine to be homes for those that once hunted. I have to wonder who won the long war, the hunter or the hunted?
It reminds me, There are various stories as to how the ship came to be abandoned, one such story is of a ship hoping to make it across the Atlantic. After a terrible storm, the sailors were certain they were about to freeze to death when a whale surfaced and answered their prayers. The whale protected them from the storm for days, only to finally depart without leaving word of her whereabouts. As a result, the sailors abandoned their ship and left it to the ocean as a way of saying thanks.
I wondered same thing is true of the ships, that perhaps a Tunna protected the lone seafaring vessels, and as a way of giving thanks, they let the ship become the sea once again?
lol... IDK..
These are all photos that were taken on my Samsung galaxy S20 FE. while they were initially color photos, I like how it turned out as a silhouette better. I hope that does not disqualify me from the #monomad challenge.
Think of taking the time to view this photo I hope you enjoy your day.
Much love,
