This premise is why it is always essential to point out that taxation is fundamentally extortion, not voluntary payment for desired services. And every subsequent statement is proof of state monopoly as a corrupting influence. But we are raised in the invisible religion of statism and few see it. And this justifies atrocities on a personal and national scale to so many people.
