Some people always post about a single topic, while my history here reveals a potpourri of subjects including library life, games, nature, politics, history, and theology. I won't say any of my content is especially good, but this platform gives me an opportunity to formulate my thoughts and at least throw a rough draft out there for the world to see and comment upon.
I prefer to type on a computer, because serious writing is difficult with a touchscreen. Sometimes when posting from my phone, there are strange typos, autocorrect errors, and autocorrect failures that need to be fixed when I catch them later. Oops. That's not to say using a proper keyboard prevents all errors, alas.
I have learned a lot about using Markdown to format my posts here on Steemit, but busy.org has a nice interface to help with most basic formatting that looks like standard word processor buttons if you're comfortable using a different site to access the blockchain. I haven't used the other frontends out there, so please comment below with your favorites and why you like them!
Some people use Steemit for spam, plagiarism, and fraud. Others use it as a get-rich-quick scheme by feeding whale bid bots in hopes of big upvotes. This kind of use needs to be discouraged so real content creators can shine. Support
