My niece wants to watch Barbie TV shows. 🤮 Noise and color masquerading as "empowerment" in a glorified toy commercial. I can't wait until she's old enough for The Princess Bride instead.

I don't pretend to be a photographer, but there are places I enjoy being. Closer to your neck of the woods is the Oliver Kelley Farm, another living history museum and reenactment site. I know it's not

Foursquare?

The first three Tom Holland movies were pretty dang good. I thought the third did a great job honoring the prior Sony cast and spiderverse concept. I'm burnt out on Disney Marvel, but Sony seems to have

Hypothetically speaking, how would the woodchopper withstand processing an arsonist? Hypothetically.

A Protestant and a Rabbi discuss the relatively obscure books of Ezra and Nehemiah:

But if government just manages the economy and decides what will be produced, how it will be distributed, and what people will receive, everything will just magically work because politicians are the most

I'm in the Pacific Northwest, so no, they aren't really a local thing.

That has been a hot-button topic already with protests and such. Apparently one is conveniently on the planning stages for Airway Heights, right where a lot of property was burnt to the ground. Of course

I wouldn't want to get shot with one, but I wouldn't really consider it a combat-viable caliber, either. Still, it could upgrade you to some invading bastard's military kit if used judiciously.

If you don't own a basic .22LR rifle, get one. The Ruger 10/22 is ubiquitous, at least in the USA, and just about every other company to ever make firearms has made something in .22LR, too.

I've been preaching preparedness for everything from being snowed in for a week to evacuating from a fire, since both are very real possibility. I once again posted on web2 about how to prepare for an

It smells like campfire outside, and not in a good way. The worst of the smoke is blowing north of me. I plan to make sure as much as possible is packed for an evacuation. Some friends of mine were too

Though gibbous, the cycle now wanes, I repeat my lamenting refrians. The smoke makes it yellow, And that jolly fellow, The man in the moon, he complains. Limericks are not my forté.

From watchduty.org, and 2300 acres is about 900 hectares. There are other fires in the region, too. It's bad. A friend near Rathdrum, Idaho is facing evacuation, and apparently an electric substation in

I definitely get that mindset. I prefer to dress in a way that doesn't draw attention. I don't like the spotlight. Even leading small group activities for a library was a step outside my comfort zone.

Another bad wildfire hit the west side of Spokane today. I'm not near it, but the conditions for more fires closer to home remaon at a high risk.
