Hello again, if you haven't heard about Antshares yet, it is a Chinese crypto currency a lot like ethereum, but owning Antshares generates Antcoins (0.0005 per ANS) which are like ether in ethereum. You can use Antcoins to make smart contracts to use the antshare blockchain platform for whatever you want, or sell them just like ETH. The Antshares group has also made deals with Alibaba, and received support from the Chinese government.
Right now Antshares are fairly new, and down at $7.21 each, which makes is a really great time to buy!
They have been rising in price for a while, and in the last month ANS has more than tripled!
I used some Bitcoin and traded it on bittrex to get my Antshares, and will probably be buying more soon.
Once you have your Antshares on bittrex, if you want to start earning Antcoins from them, you will have to transfer them to your Antshare wallet. You can download one or use a web wallet both available here, www.antshares.org/Download
I downloaded the Android app, but it was taking forever to sync, so I got the PC one, and also used the web wallet and both of those worked fine.
Before you transfer your Antshares to your wallet, make sure you know how the transaction fees work. Bittrex currently charges 0.35 Antshares per withdrawal, and you can not send a decimal amount to your wallet. Example, if you had 5 ANS, the fee would be .35, so you would be able to send 4.65, but decimals don't work, so you would only get 4 ANS in your wallet. That is why you should buy something like 5.35 ANS (or a lot more because this is a great currency).
