Why do we need an SPS?
Well here is just one fair and reasonable example:
Steemit Inc. has to date financed and supplied the servers on which all uploaded images are hosted on.
Via the SPS alternative financing can be achieved.
Either for a decentralized hosting solution or an alternative solution to the current hosting that isn't owned by any individual company.
Both are possible.
The first is dependent on anyone who wants to invest into a decentralized network for hosting, or via the set "Foundation" that is being set up and which will be managed by us, the community.
The second likewise can be set up and managed by our "Foundation".
So, to cut a long story short, the proposed SPS is definitely an amicable means of further decentralizing our blockchain.
As for other projects etc, I won't go into that right now, as all those could be "Private Businesses" and I don't want to say anything in ref. to it.
However, I do want to see more definition to the SPS, from the financing sources all the way to How decisions shall be made.
Again, more chit chat about HF21.
